TRAVEL ADVISER

1. PASSPORTS AND VISAS

• Make sure that your passport is valid for at least six months past your planned date of return.
• For visa information please visit the website or your nearest embassy office of the countries you plan to visit.

2. HEALTH

Vaccinations: Specific vaccinations (e.g. yellow fever) are required for travel to several African destinations. Please consult your doctor or travel medicine clinic for advice on which vaccinations are best for you. Note that some vaccinations must be done quite some time in advance of your travel departure date.

3. FOREIGN CURRENCY PURCHASES

Foreign Currency in Cash: Currency exchange offices can assist with all foreign exchange purchases. The rates are updated almost on a daily basis. Requirements to receive foreign exchange are your passport and/or your air ticket in some countries.

4. SEATING

Remember to advise the travel consultant if you have a preferred flight seating request. However, these, unfortunately, cannot be guaranteed.

5. SPEACIAL MEALS

Remember to advise the travel consultant if you have a preferred meal request for flights.

6. BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE

Make sure that you do not pack more luggage then is allowed per your class of travel and baggage restriction of the airline, including for hand luggage. Domestic flights may have different restrictions than international flights.

7. INTERNATIONAL PLUGS

Never forget to take an international plug adaptor for the countries that you are travelling to so that you are able to charge your cell phone, camera batteries, laptop etc.

8. DEPARTURE TAXIS

Most airport departure taxes are paid for when purchasing your air ticket but there are still some countries where the departure tax is payable in cash when you leave that country. Make sure you’ve got enough local currency to pay it.

9. SAFETY TIPS

Do not leave your luggage unattended at airports or in public areas. Do not accept packages from strangers.
